Jumper Maybach (born Ben Workman; 1963) is an American artist originally from Corpus Christi, Texas. Becoming an artist did not manifest until later in his life and was not a calling until one especially powerful day in 2010.Ben’s journey to become the artist Jumper Maybach begins in the 1960’s in Corpus Christi, Texas. In 2010, having suffered decades of emotional abuse and being marginalized for his sexual orientation, he finds himself on the brink of an emotional precipice from which the artist Jumper Maybach steps forward and becomes instrumental and vital to Ben’s healing process.
It’s about understanding love, peace and the ultimate healthy transformation of an individual.
Jumper’s hope is that his abstract way of seeing love, acceptance and freedom resonates whether you have walked a similar life path to Ben or not.
HIS EXPRESSION THROUGH HIS ART IS ABOUT UNIVERSAL LOVE, UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE AND THE FREEDOM TO BE WHO YOU ARE.
This comes with the caveat that neither Ben nor Jumper condones any version of oneself that causes any kind of hurt or pain to any living being. Not long after Jumper began his career as an artist, he started to receive national and international recognition for his work. In 2013, Jumper Maybach held his first gallery show, which ultimately led to an invite to attend Art Dubai 2013, UAE as a VIP guest. Jumper exhibited in Dubai, UAE, in 2015 and in 2017 at the prestigious ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE. It was there that the Artist received a documentary film opportunity and was dubbed the Jackson Pollock of the 21st century.
Shortly after visiting Dubai, UAE, Jumper had the opportunity to exhibit 39 large-scale works of art in Venice, Italy, his largest exhibition to date. He created and curated a Venice series specifically for the show which also included a screening of the trailer to his documentary “The Jumper Maybach Story”. Another momentous moment occurred when Jumper was invited to exhibit his art at the Gallerie Du Louvre in Paris, France. Jumper appreciates the opportunities he has been given and is committed to giving back to multiple organizations through both financial and artistic contributions.
